The glazed twisted linen yarn is a product from the French brand "fil au chinois" made in the north by Ets Toulemonde.

This thread is a set of three strands that have been twisted together, this will give the thread a roundness and resistance, perfect for working leather by hand whether for bookbinding, sheathing or leather goods.

The term glazed comes from the finish applied to the wire, it is immersed in a bath of starch and beeswax before being brushed with horsehair and then stretched.
