What’s a stitching groover for digging leather ?

The first goal of thes titching groover, is to form grooves parallel to the edge of your leathers by removing material. This groove will allow you to protect your thread in time and prevent it from wearing out too quickly.
It is called “drowning the seam”. The stitching groover can also be used to make folds by removing material, or simply decorative grooves. On our website, we offer three types of stitching groovers. Each of them has its own peculiarities.
What is special about the stitching groover ? How can I use this leather tool ?
The blade is based at the end of the small black L*. With a clamping ring you can position it more or less far from your edge.
The end of the tool serves as a guide when you press the leather edge.
*The "Small black L" on the classic stitching groover model refers to a small black key recalling the shape of the letter L, it is adjustable and carries a blade at its end.
This is the same system as the conventional stitching groover, except that the blade is in the middle of the tool. This is the L shaped part, which this time serves as a tracing guide against your slice.
According to the various testimonies of our customers, the Stitching groover Pro allows to be more precise, because the blade is in the center. It is also supplied with a “spoon” for finer yarns.
No guide on this tool, if you want to make a straight line we advise you to use a ruler.
This tool is very useful for removing material to make a fold or for decorative grooves.
Leather tracer - Ballpoint stylus :
These tools allow you to draw a line on your leather with the same distance between your edge and your thread. The small plus of this tool lies in its maneuverability, it is more intuitive than the others. It is not limited to borders.
Dry-tip compass - wing divider :
Like the previous tools, it allows you to draw a parallel line to your edge. It has the particularity to draw parallels up to 10 cm apart, but also to be able to draw in a circular way.
